Dear Friends,
The weather has turned warm and beautiful this week in the Sonoma Valley. Given the diverse locations of our wine club members,
I can't assume that spring has descended on all of you as well. But no matter where you are, warmer weather is just around the
corner and with it comes the appeal of winding down a long, hot day with a crisp glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
As you know, over the years we have received numerous awards for our Sauvignon Blanc which we produce with fruit sourced
from Gruber Vineyards in the Russian River Valley. My good friends Walt and Barbara Gruber have planted 18 acres of
Sauvignon Blanc on a beautiful 25 acre parcel where they also have three vacation houses as rentals

I have sat on the porch of their home several times in the early morning and watched the dew rise above the vineyard. There is
nothing sweeter than the smell of a spring morning combined with the aroma of Sauvignon Blanc grapes, except perhaps the smiling
faces of Walt and Barbara as they look out across their beautiful property.
The citrus combination of grapefruit and pineapple flow across the palate and keep you cool on the warmest of days.
The minerals and acidity awaken your senses, lingering long enough to pair perfectly with a fresh, raw oyster.
Our
2008 Russian River Sauvignon Blanc has not been sent out to the media to be scored yet, but when it does, there
is no doubt in my mind it will win multiple gold medals. I invite you be the first to try this amazing wine while
simultaneously preparing to beat the approaching summer heat. No matter where you are, there is no better way to
spend a summer evening than with friends and family sipping a perfectly chilled glass of our 2008 Russian River Sauvignon Blanc.
